Creeslough

Creeslough is attractively situated at the head of Sheephaven Bay. A major centre for trout anglers and is near the remarkable Ards Forest Park and Doe Castle. The village is a convenient place from which to climb Muckish (610m), Donegal's third highest peak. It is not an easy climb, but the view is rewarding.

Rainbow Trout Fishery: Creeslough; Creeslough and District Anglers Association Announces the opening of its Rainbow Trout Fishery at Lough na Toohey, situated just outside Creeslough, is now open for fishing. This is a fly and boat fishing only venue and has been stocked since the Autumn with hard fighting fish in the 2-6lb range. The fish have over-wintered well and are in great condition.

Doe Castle: Creeslough; A four-storey tower standing in a square turreted bawn built early in the 16th century on a beautiful site on Sheep Haven Bay by MacSweeney na d'Tuath, foster father of Red Hugh O'Donnell.
